Rated 5 out of 5 by from It passes the TEST of TIME! I started using this oil in 1981. I never substituted it's use for the duration I owned an 041AVES chainsaw. That saw ran from 1981-1998 for me. It was "Stihl" running strong when I sold it! The same applies to my 066 Magnum that I ran from 1998-2017. The compression on that engine was just like the day I bought it. It was in good enough shape to get half of what I paid for it back. I ran this oil in my FS-450K Brushcutter/Clearing Saw for over 3,000 hours. I sold that old unit to a professional Christmas Tree grower who ran it for another 6 or 7 years! (The projected life of that unit was 2,000 hours.) You just can't produce results like that unless the product is great.I did step-up to Stihl HP Ultra this year when I replaced my 066 Magnum with an MS-661 R-CM. It is now in my MS-362 C-M, BR-600, FS-460 C-EM K, & FS-560 C-EM. The bottom line is that I keep coming back to Stihl products & accessories because they keep getting better & better!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Non-Synthetic Oil I purchased this oil to use with my first Stihl tool (hedge trimmer that was well used 12 months a year in Miami). I was impressed with the ease of use with the pre-measured containers and the performance in the machine. I’ve used it with 93 Octane and with 100LL Aviation Fuel with great results. It seems to protect the motors in the hot weather of South Florida without any issues and the price is right. I have since discovered the HP Ultra Synthetic which I run now after buying the 2 Stihl tool to extend the warranty. The HP Ultra is marginally more expensive but seems to smoke less. I’ve never had an issue with the High Performance oil so it’s lived up to its claims of protecting the machine, but for me, the slightly more expensive HP Ultra is the way to go for my equipment. That being said, the STIHL High Performance oil outperformed all the other oils I’ve tried to that point. I’m never using the Huskie brand oil ever again in any machine I will or do own again and I’m not sure you would be able to find a better Natural Dinosaur Juice Oil for your 2-stroke.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from was stored in a fuel jug with stabil for almost 3 years and no problems I would not say to do this and sorry to the engineers who are cringing and calling me all sorts of names in German .. but this is a testimony of quality in my opinion I made up about 2 gallons of mix ( orange can stuff ) 3 years ago when I bought my saw (Ms291 ) to do a little fenceline clearing ( 1500' x50' 3" max trees ) , and besides the sthil oil, I put in stabil just in case , I used premium BP gold 91 oct pump gas (non e-10 ) and it ran perfect out of the box had to do a little fine tuning but that was expected , after I finished the tree line I put the saw away in its box , I forgot to drain what was left of the fuel ( about 1/2 tank ) and bar oil ( almost full that made a mess in the case ) well this year I needed the saw for some storm damage ( 10-20 6-24" hardwoods ( ash , maples , oaks , walnut and pine ) , I was like oh crud old gas in the tank , and in the can , I shook the can up took a wiff and it smelled /looked good ( it was stored in a dark cool spot of the garage ) I took a chance , topped it off , choked it and gave it a few pulls and it fired right up let it warm up no problems ( I let it run for a minute so to bring any gas thru to try to melt out any varnish ) then I started cutting . we ran that can dry ( apx 1.5 gallons ) thru several other guys and me , I also used it in a old MAc SE 2016 that gave my freind nothing but running problems before he gave it to me,when he bought another saw ( not a stihl and he regrets it now ) it had his mixture still in the tank ( cheap as cheap can get mix oil and 87oct gas ) I ran his out of the machine , then I put the sthil gas mix in, ( the rest of the garbage mix was disposed of in special sort of way ) I got it started and it tried to idle ( wouldn't idle at all before ) and it started to change tone as I was cutting and ran better like it was cleaning the system , when I put the saw away for the night it was a different machine , before it would have a hard time cutting 3" limbs now it was zipping thru them and bucking 6" no problems . also the Mac motor didn't slobber as much out the muffler when it now idled ( which was thing it hardly did before ) and the smoke was almost clear ( had proper oil mixture ) . he used some cheap box store brand oil which was like glue ( looked like filtered used motor oil and gear lube ) , I put that trash to the recycling drum. . now I run the stuff in all my 2 stroke equipment ( except the lawn boy but tempted ) a little pricey , yes , but worth the cleanlyness and ease of starting .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful product. Started using this oil when I bought my first stihl chainsaw in 2004 . love it ! Have never had any problems with it . where I live the synthetic oil cost about the same but I still use HP oil. See no need to change . Unless you have a 4-mix engine this oil will work great .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only 2 cycle oil I use in my chainsaws and weedeater I use Stihl Performance Oil in all my tools - 009, 044, MS 660 and FS85 Pro and I have not had any motor issues, all still have great compression with very little smoke from the exhaust. The 009 and 044 are 15 years + old and both have had 1 spark plug change in all this time.I check the plugs every month, nice brown tint indicating a good burn of the fuel and oil. I have replaced bars and chains numerous times as these saws get worked every other week but the motors run like new. Very pleased with this oil......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best and only one to use. My family has been using Stihl for years. 50 plus years. From chain saws to weed eaters and blowers. Been used on the from and job sites. Always starts. But I only of used Stihl oil's in them. Other brands have let me done several times. Plus other Brand's may cost less but you get what you pay for. I have 4 saw's one I know is very old. But one pull and it always started. The secret to all this is to use only Stihl oil's and that will last you for years to come. Personal or prefsanal.
